I am glad you've found me here. I've always loved connecting with people and have a heart for relationships that inspire and encourage, lift up and cheer on. I believe we need this in big doses today! I know I do!.

For years I have started each day reading and journaling. This time has been foundational to forming who I am. My hope is that as you read these entries from my journal, that you will find connection, hope, and a boost of encouragement.

Writer’s bio

I live on a peninsula in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. We are lucky to have the Olympics as our backdrop as we cruise around town or drop our crab pots to bring home dinner. It’s a lovely place to be!

I have four grown kids--one born in California, two in Illinois, and the last one in Lawrence, Kansas where we put down roots for ten years. (Rock Chalk!) My oldest three are married and have given us eight grandkids thus far! Unlike George in Father of the Bride, my husband and I fell in love with being grandparents from the very beginning!

I am a teacher, but the last couple of years I have moved over to the district office to help coordinate a couple of programs. I miss the kids, but I love working with teachers almost as much!

A favorite for my husband and I is to set up chairs on the beach in a local park and just breathe. Sometimes we spend the time talking or reading, but other times, we just sit and appreciate the calming effect of the water.
